The glory of gardening: hands in the dirt, head in the sun, heart with nature. To nurture a garden is to feed not just the body, but the soul. ~ Alfred Austin

Our Weekend

The weekend started Friday afternoon picking Megan up from the Ag college where she lives during the week. I really look forward to weekends and having her home.

We had to make a stop and do some grocery shopping and stop at the stockfeeds before heading home.

Friday night Daniel went camping out on a friend's farm. I had one very tired boy the next day. He dropped off to sleep on the lounge about 4.30pm. I woke him up for tea, but he was so tired he just went straight back to sleep. So his tea went into the fridge and I woke him up enough to get him to bed, where he slept all the way through until about 8.30 Sunday morning.

Saturday was spent catching up on things around the house, and lots and lots of washing. In the afternoon I went and picked my elderly neighbour up and we went to the town hall and had our vote. Also went out and did a fair bit of driving with Megan.

Sunday lunchtime we went out to the farm and had a bbq lunch with friends.

We had the lunch out in the paddock where the boys had camped Friday night. We got there a little early so Megan made herself comfortable in the hammock while we waited.

While Daniel perched up in the lookout tree.

After we finished lunch, the kids all ran around wearing off some excess energy. Another moment of brotherly and sisterly love ha. I believe this was all over the fact that Daniel had managed to get Megan's phone off her and she was trying to get it back. My useless phone didn't even have signal out there.

All too soon it was time to leave...

Back through a paddock full of healthy looking wheat,

Then out the paddock gate, out onto the road to make our way home.

Once we were home again we went through the photos that had been taken last Friday night when Megan and I travelled up to Perth for her school ball.
My gorgeous girl ready for the ball
And the beautiful view we had from our balcony.

After going through the photos it was time to drive back to the college, and for me to say goodbye to Megan once more and then turn around and make the drive home again. It was a great weekend, but it was over way too soon.
