The glory of gardening: hands in the dirt, head in the sun, heart with nature. To nurture a garden is to feed not just the body, but the soul. ~ Alfred Austin

A Frequent Visitor
These little Silvereye birds are frequent visitors to our garden.
They sit up in the grapevine, to first check and make sure the coast is clear.
Then they dive down into the Mexican sage bushes, where they happily drink the nectar until they get disturbed. The bushes are planted near the clothesline and wood shed and on the path to the chook pen, so they do get disturbed quite a bit.
Just lately I have noticed them in the pineapple sage bush too. So obviously sage bushes must be a favourite.
It is lovely to have them visit our garden.
